About this Event
Day Breaks are full-day, curated experiences that invite you to pause, to take time to rebelance, try something new, experiment, play and to prioritise YOU.
This experience day has three parts:
A guided walk - experience the joy of nature with a 2 mile guided walk, taking in the picturesque scenery of New Mills. This is an easy walk which passes through the stunning Torrs Riverside Park and Peak Forest Canal. There is some uneven/muddy terrain, a short steep section and some steps so please do consider this if you have restriced mobility or specific accessibility needs.
A mandala workshop - we will return to MakeSpace for a mandala workshop, faciliated by @amy_makes_mandalas. In this session, we will explore the history of mandalas and their connection to the world around us. You will learn how to draw your own mandala, creating and decorating your own unique piece of artwork which you will take home. No previous artistic experience necessary!
A relaxing soundbath - we will close our day together in the expert hands of Clare @feelingsounddarkpeak who will guide us through a gentle, soothing soundbath, designed to improve health and promote wellbeing. Using therapeutic sound techniques and instruments, including Himalayan singing bowls, crystal singing bowls, gongs, and percussion, you will take your place on a mat, get cosy and let sound wash over you as you drift into a deep meditative state of rest. Mats, pillows and blankets are provided but feel free to bring extras if you wish.
