David Brandom - Saxophone Saxophonist David Brandom has made an impressive career in music. Besides touring with Frank Sinatra for many years, David has worked with many great jazz artists including: Tony Bennett, Randy Brecker, Bobby Caldwell, Bill Charlap, Natalie Cole, Sammy Davis Jr., Joe Lovano, David Matthew’s Super Latin Jazz Orchestra, Houston Person, and Maria Schneider’s Big Band and most recently, composer Mike Abene’s Jazz Orchestra. David is a founding member of the Westchester Jazz Orchestra which released 2 CD, “All In” in 2007 and “Maiden Voyage Suite” in August, 2011. David has also played with many pop artists including: Billy Joel, Elton John, Melissa Manchester, Johnny Mathis, Sting, James Taylor, The Spinners, The Temptations, and The Four Tops. David’s versatility as a woodwind specialist has allowed him to work on many Broadway shows including: “Ain’t Misbehavin,” “Annie,” “Annie Get Your Gun,” “Billy Elliott”, “Chicago,”“Fosse,” “Grease,” “Hairspray,”“In the Heights,” “Jersey Boys,” “Nine to Five”,“Priscilla, Queen of the Desert”, “A Bronx Tale” and“Beautiful.”
A native of Kansas City, Mo. David and his wife Stacy moved to New York in 1984 and raised 3 sons in Larchmont NY. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education at The University of North Texas and a Master’s Degree in Studio Composition from Purchase College. David taught Instrumental Music in the Edgemont School District in Scarsdale, NY from 2008 until 2019.
A prolific composer and arranger, David released his critically acclaimed CDs, “Home” in 2002 , and “No Way Out” in 2007. A 2021 release, “What’s Going On” features David’s sax and woodwind work and his arrangements of pop classics for jazz quartet. All 3 albums can be found on Spotify, AppleMusic, Pandora etc. David is currently enjoying living in Redding, teaching privately, and working on music for a couple of new albums.
Bass - Leo Huppert Since coming to NYC in 1993, Leo Huppert has been a busy freelance bassist, working on the jazz scene in big bands, small groups and Broadway shows such as Crazy For You, Into the Woods, Fosse, The Producers, Thoroughly Modern Millie and many others. Leo is currently bassist for Blood Sweat and Tears, and has also toured with Bobby Caldwell and his Blue Condition Big Band as well as various smaller tours of the US and Europe with jazz artists from around the world. His studio credits include work for HBO, PBS, ESPN and other jazz and rock projects such as singer/composer Deena Miller's debut CD, A Thousand Words. His solo CD is in the works and due out soon. Jay Bianchi - Piano Jay is a NYC based pianist, producer, composer & educator. He holds a performance certificate from Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London, a Master of Music from the University of Miami in jazz studies and a Bachelor of Music from SUNY at Fredonia in music education. Jay has toured and performed internationally with grammy award winning artist Nigel Kennedy and composter/flutist David Heath. He has worked with Bette Midler, Glenn Close, Leslie Gore, Idina Menzel, Duncan Sheik, Rumer Willis, producer Angelo DiPippo. Bianchi has 2 critically acclaimed trio CDs released on ilovestress records: Jay is Cool featuring John Patitucci on bass, and 11211. Jay has been the musical coach for the past two seasons of "Mozart in the Jungle". He has been on the faculty at The New School for 25 years and as an educator has helped develop the piano class curriculum for The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music.
Ben Gramm - Drums Ben's drumming has been heard both live and on record behind many renowned artists. Lou Gramm (Foreigner)_albums "Ready Or Not" and "Long Hard Look"_film soundtracks “Lost Boys” and “Navy Seals”, Peter Frampton, Edgar Winter, Yoko Ono, Peter Allen, Rupert Holmes_albums "Adventure" and "Full Circle"_film soundtrack "No Small Affair" Subbed on the drum chair of “Smokey Joe’s Cafe”, “Street Corner Symphony” on Broadway and held the drum chair for a road tour of The Who’s “Tommy" “Gilda Radner Live from New York” on Broadway, staring Gilda Radner, composer/musical director Howard Shore
As a session player Ben has played on countless radio and television commercials for many major advertisers including Coke, Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, Chrysler Corporation, General Motors, ABC, HBO, Visa, Pizza Hut, and more, some of which are currently being aired nationally and internationally. Ben is currently performing with his brother Lou Gramm both here and abroad. He is also playing and recording in a number of musical projects in and around Manhattan. Ben is on the artist roster of Drum Workshop, Zildjian, Remo and Vic Firth
We're sorry, there are no refunds after tickets have been purchased. In the event of a pandemic, rain, snow, or other forms of weather which prohibit a performance, the performance date will be postponed and rescheduled for another date within a reasonable amount of time. If the new date is postponed, a future alternate date will be picked at the discretion of Bethel Jazz and the musical artist. The ticket holder will be notified of postponements, cancelations, and rescheduled dates via email. Tickets are non-refundable and may be transferred to another person in the event a purchaser can not make the rescheduled date. In the event, an artist cancels a date, and Bethel Jazz is unable to reschedule the artist, Bethel Jazz reserves the right to provide a substitute performer of equal quality without notice to the ticket purchaser. If a date is canceled and not rescheduled, Bethel Jazz will provide a refund (in some cases minus the Eventbrite fee) or credit for another performance at the choice of the ticket holder. Bethel Jazz will always do its best to accommodate for changes in seating, table sizes, or changes to tickets.
