From David R. Slayton, bestselling author of White Trash Warlock and Rogue Community College, comes the epic sequel to the award-winning Dark Moon, Shallow Sea. David will be in conversation with local author, James Persichetti, on Thursday, June 18th at 5:30 PM at our Aspen Grove location!

We will have a limited supply of additional books for guests to purchase in store. Only a book ticket guarantees you a copy of the book.
This event includes an opportunity to meet the author, participate in an audience Q&A after the book talk, and get your book(s) signed and personalized. Photos with the author are welcome!
If you are unable to attend the event after purchasing a ticket, you are required to pick up your copy of the book (with proof of purchase from your event registration) within 7 days after the event date. If the book is not picked up by that date, you relinquish your copy to Tattered Cover Book Store.
ABOUT THE BOOK
For Raef, priest of the moon-goddess Phoebe and one-time thief, it was too much to hope that resurrection of the moon and his mistress might set the world aright. The Grief still chokes the docks and streets of Versinae with vampiric ghosts, while the nations of Aegea prepare to war against each other.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
David R. Slayton (he/him) grew up in Guthrie, Oklahoma, where finding fantasy novels was pretty challenging and finding fantasy novels with diverse characters was downright impossible. Now he lives in Denver, Colorado, and writes the books he always wanted to read. His epic fantasy, Dark Moon, Shallow Sea, won the Colorado Book Award. In 2015, David founded Trick or Read, an initiative to give out books along with candy to children on Halloween as well as uplift lesser-known authors or those from marginalized backgrounds. ABOUT THE CONVERSATION PARTNER
James Persichetti is a writer, freelance editor, and language enthusiast who enjoys writing about queer characters going on adventures. He earned an English degree and studied Arthurian legends, where he drew inspiration for his debut graphic novel, A Tale of Two Knights. He lives with his husband in Denver, Colorado.
