About this Event
Boswell Book Company welcomes David Sedaris back to the store for a ticketed event featuring his latest collection of essays, The Land and Its People. Throughout these essays—at once acerbic and tender, playful and profound—Sedaris shows how much there is to marvel at when you keep your head up and your eyes open, observing with warmth and curiosity this fascinating human species and the lands we inhabit.
This is a ticketed event. Each ticket costs $30 plus taxes and fees, and includes admission for one and a copy of The Land and Its People. If you are interested in ordering additional copies of the book, you can do so here.
Please note: Folks must have a ticket to get into the program, but after Sedaris's reading / talk is over, anyone is welcome to join the end of the signing line for free. Based on our past events with Sedaris, folks should be able to get into the line for free beginning at 9 pm. Please understand, this is our best estimate, not an exact time.
David Sedaris is the author of fifteen previous books, including Happy-Go-Lucky, When You Are Engulfed in Flames, and Me Talk Pretty One Day. He is a regular contributor to The New Yorker and BBC Radio 4. In 2019, he was inducted into the American Academy of Arts and Letters. He is the recipient of the Thurber Prize for American Humor, the Jonathan Swift Prize for Satire and Humor, and the Terry Southern Prize for Humor.
