ABOUT:
David & Banana both began their musical journeys during the sixties. Forming their most popular projects, New Riders of the Purple Sage (1969) & The Youngbloods (1965).
Prior to those projects they both played in acoustic settings performing blues, folk & bluegrass. David on the West Coast & Lowell (Banana) on the East Coast. They were of like minds but it took over 30 yrs to “get together” with a traditional bluegrass band The Papermill Creek Rounders.
On this show they will play acoustic duos and be backed by Banana’s latest project “the Bunch”. The members are long-time Bay Area touring artists that have appeared with a long list of performers well known to fans of Banana & David including; Peter Rowan, Maria Muldaur, Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, Carlene Carter & The Lost Planet Airmen.
