This is a time of change, the end of a world, a _kairos_ in which everything is possible, yet we remain stuck, lost in a labyrinth of myths that traps us in a seemingly inevitable present, and makes us so unable to imagine different futures that, in the face of the crisis of capitalism, we desperately cling to the status quo out of fear of what lies ahead.Dismantling this labyrinth has been the task Graeber pursued throughout his life: that’s why in these times we need his work more than ever, if we are to reclaim our collective capacity to reinvent ourselves
This is why we have chosen to dedicate a conference to his legacy:
it shall be three days:
- in Bologna, October the 6th
- Ravenna, October the 7th
- Reggio Emilia, October the 8th
We are as distrustful of the "monastic self" as Graeber was, and we want this to be as much of a conversation as possible: we will leave ample space for it and we will not invite the audience to ask questions, but to participate in the discussion.
