We hope you have marked your calendars for the 2026 Dave Cooney Parkinson Awareness Walk which will be held on Saturday, June 20th at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Harborcreek. Cost is $25/person. This is not a timed event and has pre-marked turnarounds for a 1 mile and 3 mile walk. Dave Cooney passed away last March but his family have generously decided to continue with the walk Dave loved so much. This special event helps to fund important programs and needs in the PD community. But we will need your help to make this important fundraiser a big success!
Some ideas on how you can help:
• Gather your friends and family and sign up to walk. This is not a race. It is not a timed event and you can walk as far as you are able. Unable to walk but still want to come and support the walk? • Please share this event with your friends and family and ask them to consider a donation if they are unable to participate in the walk. • Help us find more sponsors for the walk. We are looking for more businesses who would like to sponsor the walk. Ask your outpatient therapy clinic, insurance agent, favorite restaurant, etc. These sponsorships can make a real difference in the funds we can raise.
