About this Event
Data + Donuts is a morning speaker series and networking event that brings together the makers and doers changing local government from the ground up by harnessing technology and data to drive meaningful change. It is a joint, collaborative effort between the County of Los Angeles, the City of Los Angeles, and the local L.A. civic technology community.
This month, Patrick Kigongo will join us to discuss a retrospective on product management at the Federal government level between 2020 and 2025: what worked, what didn't, what was beyond our control.
Patrick Kigongo is a Los Angeles-based product manager with a decade of experience leading cross-functional teams in the delivery of digital products and services.
Patrick graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Government and Politics and French Language and Literature. He also holds a master's degree in International Affairs from the Elliott School of International Affairs at The George Washington University. From 2020 to 2025, Patrick worked as a product manager at 18F, a digital consulting firm that was part of the U.S. government's General Services Administration. Following the dissolution of 18F, Patrick joined the Federal Student Aid Office of the US Department of Education as a product management consultant. Prior to his civic technology career, he worked in fashion, entertainment and gossip, sports media, and corporate social responsibility.
