About this Event
Interested in learning about data analytics? Let's take a free online course together in a welcoming space!
Organizations all over the world recognize the value of analytics. Together, we'll learn about the essential tools used in this field.
A learning circle is a study group, guided by library staff, for people who want to take a free online course together in a supportive and welcome environment.
In this eleven-week learning circle, we will work through dedicated course content together. The Data Analytics Essentials course from Cisco's Networking Academy platform explores the fundamental tools of a data analyst, including how to:
- transform, organize and visualize data with spreadsheet tools like Excel
- query data from a relational database using SQL
- improve data presentations using business intelligence tools like Tableau
We will meet in-person every Monday evening, September 23 - December 9, 6-7:30 PM at the Maria A. Shchuka library.
Participants are expected to commit to the duration of the course and attend sessions on a weekly basis.
Learners who complete the course will be able to:
- earn a digital badge
- download a certificate of completion
