Gyertek el egy koccintásra das fanni Kimono műhelybe, nézzétek meg és próbáljátok fel Pál Fanni és Száraz Kata kollaborációjának első darabjait, és tekintsétek meg a kollabhoz kapcsolódó projektekből készült pop up kiállítást, ismerkedjetek meg az alkotókkal.
A kollaboráció ötlete Kata művészeti projektjei nyomán született, Fanni párizsi tartózkodása alatt. A fotók a projektekhez kapcsolódó még nem publikált képekből állnak, lágy áttetsző muszlinra nyomtatva Kata installációi nyomán. Az univerzális emlékképek a könnyed, áttetsző anyagon olyan élményeket idéznek meg, amelyekhez sokan kapcsolódni tudunk - a néző mintha beleburkolózna ezekbe a fotókba, mint viselhető, puha emlékekbe, amelyek egy folyamatos úton levés lenyomatai.
Kata egy 2014 óta külföldön élő jelenleg párizsi bázisú fotográfus, munkái középpontjában pedig a gyökértelen élet, az emlékezés, mobilitás, nomád életforma és ezek indetitásformáló ereje áll.
“Are we there yet?” című installációjában átmeneti otthonai veszik körül a nézőt muszlinra nyomtatott hatalmas printek képében, rezonálva a nomádság tematikájával, hiszen a kiállítás egy hátizsákba téve könnyedén helyet válthat, ahogy azt az alkotó is teszi élete során. A “La fille de marin” című projektjében tengerész édesapja érzelmi hagyatékát kutatja fel utazásai során, miközben saját gyökértelen életformájának eredetét próbálja felfejteni.

Come to cheer to the das fanni Kimono atelier, see and try on the first pieces from the collaboration between Pál Fanni and Száraz Kata, explore the pop-up exhibition created from projects related to the collaboration, and meet the artists.
The idea for the collaboration was born from Kata’s artistic projects during Fanni’s stay in Paris. The photographs consist of previously unpublished images related to these projects, printed on soft, translucent muslin, inspired by Kata’s installations. Printed on this light, translucent fabric, these images evoke universal memories and experiences that many of us can relate to, and the viewer can wrap themselves in them like soft, wearable memories, traces of a continuous state of being on the move.
Kata is a photographer who has been living abroad since 2014 and is currently based in Paris. Her work explores themes such as rootlessness, memory, mobility, and nomadic ways of living, as well as how these experiences shape our sense of identity. In her installation “Are we there yet?”, the viewer is surrounded by her temporary homes in the form of large muslin prints. The material and the installation itself echo the idea of nomadism: the whole exhibition can easily be packed into a backpack and moved elsewhere, just as the artist herself has done throughout her life. In her other project “La fille de marin”(The Sailor’s Daughter), she reflects on the emotional legacy of her sailor father through her travels, while also trying to understand the origins of her own rootless lifestyle.
