Dine for a Cause: Panera Fundraiser for the new Grand Cities Area Mending Club! 🍲 Eat good. Do good. Double your impact by bringing a friend or family member + and mend with a friend!**What does the Grand Cities Area Mending Club actually do?**
Darn it! That is to say...we repair broken things, rather than throw them away. We might:
- Turn an old T-shirt into a reusable produce bag ♻️
- Practice knitting, sewing, patching, darning, and more 🪡
- Make our own low-cost, environmentally-safe powdered soap 🧼
- Or, learn how to maintain dull kitchen tools ✂️
- Check over a used bicycle for any regular maintenance needs 🚲
**Who can join us?**
Anyone! The Grand Cities Area Mending Club meets regularly in a public space to repair our possessions and learn more about mending, together! We meet in public so we can grow our group and make new friends to mend with.
**What are we doing on July 10th?**
We're going to gather at Panera from 4-8PM to mend together! And the event doubles as a fundraiser. Support Live Well Grand Cities' programs including our community mending club initative by enjoying a delicious meal at Panera! Panera will donate 25% of qualifying sales from 4-8PM to our effort IF you SHOW THE EVENT FLYER at the checkout counter WHEN YOU PLACE YOUR ORDER. 👈
