Darn it! That is to say...we repair broken things, rather than throw them away. We might:
Turn an old T-shirt into a reusable produce bag ♻️
Practice knitting, sewing, patching, darning, and more 🪡
Make our own low-cost, environmentally-safe powdered soap 🧼
Or, learn how to maintain dull kitchen tools ✂️
Check over a used bicycle for any regular maintenance needs 🚲
**Who can join us?**
Anyone! The Grand Cities Area Mending Club meets once-per-season in a public space to repair our possessions and learn more about mending, together! We meet in public so we can grow our group and make new friends to mend with.
**What are we doing on May 8th?**
We're going to gather at Panera from 4-8PM to mend together! And the event doubles as a fundraiser. Support Live Well Grand Cities' community mending club program by enjoying a delicious meal at Panera! Panera will donate 25% of qualifying sales from 4-8PM to our effort IF you SHOW THE EVENT FLYER at checkout. 👈
