Dog.Emodog.emo is an sf based experimental hybrid solo act by Calvin Kind combining indie emo sounds with raw modern party music and electronica. Working with acts such as electronic darlings bassvictim, emo rap collective gothboiclique, and rage pioneer sybyr, dog.emo has worked and played from NYC to LA to Austin and runs a recording label in SF called Melodrama Records focused on pioneering new forms of emotional music.GutsyA little bit punk, a little bit jazz, a little bit blues, country, indie, dance—you name it—the Bay Area band Gutsy’s sound truly has no limitations. Lead songwriter and composer Cormac Maher believes that music shouldn’t have to adhere to one style or set of influences. ‘It’s 2026—we can access every known recording by reaching into our pockets. Why not reflect that in the music we create?’
Gutsy combines an eclectic array of influences with Cormac’s penchant for pop songwriting to create music that could only exist in the chaotic century we live in. Add on top of that a sprinkle of lyrics that are sometimes romantic, sometimes satirical, but always earnest and empathetic, and you get a sound that is uniquely… what’s the word I’m looking for… oh yeah, GUTSY!
Darling Im DyingDarling I’m dying is a post-hardcore/emo band formed and fronted by Poyraz (PZ)
Cagdas Ates.
He is a Turkish American student at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and a
multi-instrumentalist who has written, recorded, and produced all of Darling I’m dying's music.
This includes their recent releases Black Powder Hearts and The Human Condition. After
relying on heavy music to get through many difficult experiences, Poyraz created Darling I’m
dying in hopes to give that outlet to others as well. The songs are often dialogues between two
characters played by Poyraz and his dear friend Xandy Daskalakis. They discuss real situations
that PZ has battled or witnessed, in an attempt to shed light on genuine experiences exhibited
within the youth culture in the Bay Area and beyond. With a deep belief in respect and
community, Poyraz continues to love and support those around him, in hopes that with a large
enough following he can support close friends and family who need it, as well as positively
impact the Bay Area and beyond.
