The cast reunion and fan gathering this July/August in Los Angeles will be the final Dark Shadows Festival. Sleeping rooms at the hotel with the special discounted Dark Shadows 60th Anniversary rate are limited. A few more rooms have been added so out-of-town travelers and attendees are urged to make their hotel reservations immediately before they are gone. A few more may be added next week and after that hotel rates will go up. Among the guests currently planning to attend are Kathryn Leigh Scott, David Selby, Marie Wallace, Jerry Lacy, Sharon Smyth Lentz, James Storm, Roger Davis and, from the 1991 series, Joanna Going and Roy Thinnes. Additionally, Terry Crawford, who portrayed Beth Chavez, hopes to join the festivities. More guests to be announced. All appearances subject to change.
The weekend will include dramatic performances by the actors on stage, autographs, Q&A sessions, a Saturday luncheon, DS memorabilia sale, collectibles auction, costume contest, a Sunday day trip to Collinwood in Beverly Hills and some extra-special rare screenings of DS video never seen before!
SATURDAY LUNCHEON WITH THE STARS + EXCLUSIVE DS GIFT BAG
At noon on Saturday, August 1 there will be a 3-course luncheon with the DS actors which will include dramatic performances,door prizes and an exclusive gift bag (a $100+ value) full of special DS goodies.
BUS TRIP/PICNIC AT COLLINWOOD
Additionally, on Sunday, August 2 there will be a bus trip to the Greystone mansion and estate in Beverly Hills which served as Collinwood in both the 1991 Dark Shadows and the 2005 pilot. A guided tour will be provided to highlight the extensive use of the estate, both inside and out, and attendees may bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the property which is designated as a park.Additionally, a surprise 1991 Dark Shadows series actor will join fans for the Greystone adventure!
Out of town visitors who wish to vacation in Los Angeles for a few days before or after the anniversary weekend can also receive the reduced hotel room rate for several extra nights. Additionally, the hotel is only a few blocks from the Los Angeles airport and offers continuous free shuttle service to and from the hotel.
Please note that the Dark Shadows 60th Anniversary will not be streamed online. This is going to be the last big official DS event and there will not be an east coast DS Festival. We hope you can join us in Los Angeles this summer!
