Little Root Theatre Troupe is holding auditions for its production of Dare to Dream: A Disney Musical Revue on Monday, April 13th at 6PM and Tuesday April 14th at 6PM at 2|42 Community Church 24800 Eureka Rd. Taylor MI 49180. Walk-in auditions will only be allowed if the production team can make time with no guarantees. Auditionees do not need to attend both sessions, but are welcome to do so. If audition slots become limited, the production team may contact you to remove a duplicate entry if needed.
Our audition form, audition sign up, and tentative audition schedule are posted on our website! The schedule is built to the best of the production team’s ability but we reserve the right to change if needed, and will alert you accordingly with notice. Please complete online registration prior to auditions, including as many conflicts as you are able throughout the rehearsal and run of the show. Conflicts will be taken into consideration and worked around as much as possible without sacrificing the production timeline.
Each child auditioning must prepare a 30 second audition piece of their choosing. There will be a short dance taught during auditions.
Rehearsals will take place Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-8:30pm and Saturdays from 10am-1pm at 2|42 Community Church in Taylor, MI. Production dates are 6/25 at 7:00pm, 6/26 at 7:00pm, and 6/27 at 2:30pm and 7:00pm.
This is a Junior production. The age range is 5-18 years at the time of auditions. This show will consist of an ensemble that will have featured roles, as well as a kids ensemble to accommodate additional cast members.
For this production, we will take video submissions for auditionees that cannot make either audition date. If you would like to submit a video audition, it must be communicated at least 1 week prior to the first date of auditions via email, AND submitted via email by no later than April 12th at 4PM.
Please note that Little Root has a participation fee of $90 per child.
For this cast, costumes will not be provided. Parents will receive guidance on the materials or items they will need to purchase or create for their child’s costume.
Dare to Dream Jr. is a vibrant musical revue that weaves together timeless classics, contemporary favorites, and reimagined medleys to celebrate a century of Disney magic. An eager group of young trainees attend their first day at a fictional Walt Disney Imagineering Studio, where they must first discover their own dreams in order to help others achieve theirs. The team works together to explore the power of dreams to unite, inspire, and make anything possible. Featuring songs from 24 Disney films, including Tangled, The Lion King, Toy Story, The Princess and the Frog, and Encanto, this musical revue is jam-packed with show-stopping dance numbers, new twists on classic songs, and a powerful message that will surprise and delight Disney lovers of all ages.
