DIS-ORIENT is the first proposition in the series of Danser Penser Manger.
We will dive in an immersive installation where we question embodiments of race, whiteness and orientalism as they translate into impactful acts of shaping and navigating in the world.
Based on writings of Sarah Ahmed, Edward Said, Franz Fanon, Eyal Weizman and others.
Followed by a discussion and shared bites

ABOUT Danser Penser Manger
Danser, penser, manger is a framework-pretext for encounters that invites, through the moving body, to become aware of the world, its stories and discourses that organize, orient, and challenge our being-together-in-the-world.
Why dance?
Because the moving body is at the heart of our processes of embodiment, the vital link to fueling our power of action, perception, and individual and collective imaginaries.
How to think?
By making it a collective exercise to become aware of the world, daring to break through bubbles that label and isolate. (Re)learning, together, to articulate our thoughts amidst the complexity of embodied encounters.
And eat?
Inspired by Levantine hospitality and conviviality, sharing a meal is an act of welcoming, opening to the world through the senses, and establishing vital bonds with the territory. Sharing what nourishes, in both literal and figurative senses, is at the heart of relational ecology practice.
Created by Corinne Skaff, a Lebanese dancer, pedagogue, and community weaver in motion. Danser Penser Manger is designed with encounter as a research-creation methodology.
