We are delighted to welcome Danny Robins to Waterstones Piccadilly to discuss his thrilling first book for children, Do You Believe in Ghosts? illustrated by Ellen Walker. Discover the ‘spooktacular’ new collection of real-life ghost stories for readers aged 9-12 from the award-winning writer, creator and host of the hit BBC podcast and TV series Uncanny.
Danny will be in conversation with podcaster, producer, and author Dan Schreiber.
Danny Robins is an award-winning British writer, broadcaster and journalist. He created the hit BBC podcasts The Battersea Poltergeist, The Witch Farm and Uncanny, which is now also a major series for BBC 2. He also wrote the Olivier Award-nominated West End play 2:22 - A Ghost Story, which has been performed in countries around the world. Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton are currently starring in the UK tour of the play. Danny has created and written various other shows for TV and radio, including the much-loved CBBC series Young Dracula. His first book was Into the Uncanny. Do You Believe in Ghosts? marks his debut as a children's author. Danny will be touring the UK with his Uncanny: Fear of the Dark live show based on the award-winning podcast throughout Autumn 2025 and Spring 2026.
Dan Schreiber is an Australian writer, stand-up comedian, TV presenter, producer, and podcaster. He is the host of QI derived comedy podcast 'No Such Thing As A Fish', which is a regular fixture in the top ten iTunes podcast charts. Dan is the author of books for children and adults, including ‘Impossible Things’, a collection of unbelievable answers to the world’s weirdest questions for kids, published in July 2024, and 'The Theory of Everything Else', a collection of mind-boggling and goosebump-raising theories, published by in October 2022. As an extension of the world of weird and wonderful, Dan's podcast 'We Can Be Weirdos' launched in May 2023.
