Award-winning indie-folk artist Daniel James McFadyen continues to evolve with his latest single, “Landmine,” the first release from his anticipated 2025 album. Recorded with close friends in a rented cabin on British Columbia's Shuswap Lake, the song captures a raw, Americana-inspired sound that brings new depth to McFadyen's work. Known for his interactive shows, McFadyen’s tours across Canada have sold out iconic venues, including Toronto’s Great Hall and Halifax’s Marquee Ballroom, drawing fans into his vivid storytelling and charismatic performances. In 2023, McFadyen’s award-winning EP, Songs to Show Your Friends, marked a creative leap from his “stomp and holler” folk roots to more intricate, melody-driven compositions. Produced by Montreal’s Quinn Bachand, the EP delves into themes of love, loss, adventure, and home. With Landmine setting the stage, McFadyen’s music continues to explore new sounds and stories, cementing his place in Canada’s folk and indie scenes. In November 2024, McFadyen won three awards at the Music NS awards—the most awards received at the event—a testament to his continued growth and connection with listeners.

Forged during a period of intense emotion, Metò's indie-folk compositions intertwine ethereal melodies with intimate acoustic soundscapes, capturing the love, grief, and hope that emerged as he accompanied his father on his final journey. From this deeply moving experience came Alstroemeria, a contemplative debut EP that invites introspection and pure emotion.
With Wed to the Moment, his first album, Metò continues this quest for artistic sincerity through a work that embraces the raw and the unexpected. Built from spontaneous improvisations captured on a Tascam tape recorder, the album establishes a striking dialogue between the touching imperfection of lo-fi and the refinement of the studio. Wed to the Moment is an immersive sound experience, where each note resonates with the magic of the present moment—lively, fragile, and deeply captivating.

Kieran Campbell
Kieran Campbell is a singer-songwriter originally from Victoria, British Columbia, who now splits his time between Montréal and Tofino, BC. His music is deeply rooted in alt-folk, drawing inspiration from legendary songwriters such as Townes Van Zandt, John Prine, and other folk traditions. His sound combines the timeless storytelling of folk with a modern, reflective sensibility. Kieran brings a raw authenticity to every song, creating an atmosphere where vulnerability and strength coexist.

Connu pour ses spectacles interactifs, McFadyen a fait salle comble lors de ses tournées à travers le Canada, notamment au Great Hall de Toronto et au Marquee Ballroom d'Halifax, attirant les fans grâce à ses récits vivants et ses performances charismatiques.
