About this Event
San Jose Woman's Club has partnered with DNA Dance Ballroom to present Dancing through the Decades, featuring dances popular in each decade, from the 1920s Charlston to the latest TikYok dance craze., in celebration of the 130 years the Club has been contributing to the community.
This month features the 1930s - when dance marathons blossomed and swing dance, with its lively steps and joyous movements offered a welcome distraction from the depression.
Learn a new dance and enjoy an hour of social dance on the first Wednesday of the month, all year long. DNA Dance Ballroom professionals will teach a dance from the featured decade for the first hour and the second hour is open for social dance. Dancing is in the ballroom of the Club's landmark Clubhouse, built in 1929. The ballroom features the largest dance room in the south bay, featuring a sprung wood floor, specially constructed for dancing .
Dancing Through the Decades is free for San Jose Woman's Club members and just $10 for the public.
