Join movement facilitator and DJ Chelsea Biklen for this monthly dance ceremony. We will open our space with a circle and grounding to connect and explore our dance theme. The evening will continue into a lightly guided dance journey called Dancing Freedom, which follows a 5-stage arc through the 5 ayurvedic elements. Dancing Freedom is a somatic and shamanic practice of liberation rooted in ceremony. As we dance with the elements we re-awaken and remember our connection to these elements, within and without, and to all that is. This practice welcomes all ages, sizes, colors, and creeds. You cannot do it wrong! When we come together to move as our ancestors did, we create a deep space of shared practice, transformation, and community. Dancing Freedom reminds us of who we really are. Come and move with us, you cannot do it wrong!
Chelsea Amber
Chelsea is a community co-creator, student, teacher, and spiritual seeker. She finds her own divine remembrance and connection through ceremony, nature, silence, and movement. She has found that within music and dance she is able to stabilize her own consistent dialogue and trust in life. Chelsea seeks containers of safety and skilled holding to explore the depths of her own body as a vessel for liberation and connection - and she aims to create these spaces for others. In addition to being an Ecstatic Dance DJ, Chelsea is a Dancing Freedom Facilitator, yoga teacher, and energy and body worker. Her DJ name 'Presencia' comes from a strong internal value to show up presently to each part of the process of creation.
