Dancers Against Cancer

Join us on Fri, May 03, 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Princeton Club - East for an evening of solidarity, hope and strength as we rally around our wonderful friend, Marivic Ward who is courageously facing stage 2 ovarian cancer. It will be a night of dancing for a great cause.

Cancer doesn't just affect the body; it has an impact on her everyday quality of life, finances, and emotional wellbeing. The toll is immeasurable, and Marivic is facing this frightening battle head-on, one day at a time.

Did you know that ovarian cancer affects over 22,000 women in the United States each year? And for those, like Marivic, diagnosed at stage 2, the fight is intense and prolonged. The financial burden is staggering, with treatment costs reaching tens of thousands of dollars. But perhaps most daunting is the emotional journey—endless doctor's appointments, treatments, and the uncertainty that accompanies every step.

In the face of such adversity, community becomes our greatest asset. Your presence at this fundraiser can make all the difference. Marivic draws strength and joy from the love and support surrounding her, and it's palpable how it lifts her spirits. She LOVES dancing so much. Let's show her she's not alone—let's dance for Marivic!

Our goal is clear: every dollar raised goes directly to Marivic. Yes, 100%. No bureaucracy, no delays—just immediate support for our friend in need. Together, we can lighten her burden and let her focus on what truly matters—her health and healing.
Our goal is to raise $3,000 to help offset some of the unexpected costs Marivic is facing by way of ticket sales, raffle items, t- shirt orders and cash donations. We hope that this will provide some relief and access to necessary resources as she prepares for more surgeries, chemotherapy, pain management, stress management and recovery time. This is a mental, physical and emotional process. Marivic has already had 10+ procedures at this point, and our friend is mentally and emotionally preparing for more in the fight ahead.

We've organized an amazing lineup up of your favorite dance fitness instructors, ready to lead you through all your beloved dance formats. WERQ, Turn UP, Zumba, Latin Fusion - yes, there's something for everyone! So hydrate let's hit the floor for Marivic!

As you dance the night away, refreshments will be provided—water and snacks to keep you energized and uplifted, and that's not all—be sure to bring cash or e pay options for our SUPER exciting raffles, with amazing prizes generously donated by our community.
