Join us for an immersive two-day workshop exploring somatic approaches to healing trauma through the body’s natural wisdom and capacity for self-repair.Research shows that humans process trauma in the same instinctual parts of the brain as other mammals. Animals in the wild can often “shake off” the freeze response and return to normal functioning. But humans frequently carry a frozen residue of trauma in the nervous system. This workshop guides you in learning how to release that trapped energy and restore balance.
What You Will Explore:
-How to stabilize and create safety in the body
-Understanding the physiology of fight, flight, and freeze
-Working with fear, anxiety, anger, and aggression
-Somatic techniques for trauma release and boundary strengthening
-Helping clients move from dissociation back into embodiment
-Engaging the ‘animal body’ through visualization and movement.
This module can be taken individually (14 CPD hours) or as part of our year-long Certificate in Integrative Embodied Psychotherapy.
Important: Booking priority is given to participants of the full programme. Please wait for confirmation of your place before making payment.
