Dance, Move and Connect in the East Village Featuring Intro Classes Free

egacy In Motion Academy invites you to a Community Open House on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 2:00–5:30 PM, featuring a collaborative afternoon of movement with Capoeira De Ouro Iowa, DSM Zouk (Brazilian Zouk), and Build 2 Break, with short yoga sessions facilitated by Gail Witte throughout the event.

This open house is designed for adults of all experience levels. Participants can explore short 20–30 minute introductory sessions in Capoeira, Brazilian Zouk, and breakdancing, with yoga sessions woven in between to reset, stretch, and recharge. The afternoon will also include brief demonstrations, opportunities to meet instructors, and time to connect with other community members.

No prior experience is required. Whether you’re looking to try something new, learn about upcoming programs, or simply enjoy a welcoming community space, this event offers a relaxed and accessible way to explore movement and culture.

Earlier in the morning, Legacy In Motion Academy will also host an informal kids open house during regular morning class times, inviting children to try classes for free.

The event is free and donation-based. RSVP is encouraged but not required.
