Joy is resistance! First Shift Justice Project’s 5th Annual signature house music fundraiser, Dance Like a Mother, will take place on Friday, May 9, 2024, at Wunder Garten, located at 1101 First St NE, Washington, DC 20002. Get ready to lay it down on the dance floor for a good cause! The event begins at 6:00 p.m. ET and children are welcome from 6:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET. Suggested donation is $30, but donations of any amount are gratefully accepted!
First Shift Justice Project is a D.C. nonprofit committed to helping local pregnant workers, working parents, and caregivers assert their workplace rights. The funds raised at this event will go towards Know Your Rights education, free legal assistance to workers with caregiving responsibilities, and policy advocacy for stronger laws and enforcement to protect these workers from job loss.
