Step into the rhythms of the Carpathian Basin with our Dancehouse (Táncház) Series — a joyful celebration of traditional folk dancing connecting people through movement, music, and community!
🌍 This Event’s Theme
We’ll explore Hungarian dances from various regions in Hungary.
The dance house will take place in a joyful atmosphere, enriched with some arts & craft sessions and lots of fun.
The programme begins with warm-up workshop from 2-3, followed by the dance tuition.
👣 Meet Your Instructors
Adrienn Galambos & Szabolcs Tolnai
Both Adrienn and Szabolcs are professional dance tutors who began their dancing journey as children back home (around Budapest and in Upland Region in Slovakia) and continued as adults in London, UK — where dance brought them together. They now teach regularly in London and St Albans, and travel around England on weekends leading family dance events and workshops.
💡 What to Bring
Just a pair of comfortable shoes, a good mood, and curiosity to learn!
No previous dance experience or Hungarian language skills are required.
Come with a partner or solo — everyone’s welcome, children and adults alike!

The Hungarian Táncház method, inscribed by UNESCO in 2011 on the Register of Best Safeguarding Practices, is a living tradition where everyone can experience folk dance firsthand — not through performance, but through participation.
From energetic circle dances to intricate couple movements, every Dancehouse invites you to learn, move, and have fun together.
Our sessions start with a gentle warm-up and feature simple, accessible movements suitable for all ages and abilities.

🕺 Táncház – Magyarországi táncok 💃

Lépj be velünk a Kárpát-medence lüktetésébe Táncház-sorozatunk harmadik alkalmán! A táncház a közösség, a zene és a mozgás örömteli találkozása, ahol a néptáncot nem nézzük, hanem együtt éljük át.
A magyar táncházmódszer 2011 óta része az UNESCO „Legjobb megőrzési gyakorlatok” listájának — élő hagyomány, amelynél a részvétel a lényeg. A kör- és párostáncok energiája mindenkit magával ragad: a táncház minden alkalommal tanulásra, közös mozgásra és felszabadult szórakozásra hív.
Az alkalom egy könnyed bemelegítéssel indul, és egyszerűen követhető táncokat kínál, minden korosztály és képesség számára.

👣 Oktatóink
Galambos Adrienn & Tolnai Szabolcs
Adrienn és Szabolcs néptáncoktatók, akik gyerekkoruk óta táncolnak — Budapesten és a Felvidéken kezdték, majd felnőttként Londonban folytatták, ahol a tánc hozta őket össze. Jelenleg Londonban és St Albansben tanítanak rendszeresen, hétvégente pedig családi táncos programokat és workshopokat vezetnek Anglia-szerte.
