About this Event
Danbury Cultural District Community Forum
Tuesday, March 31
5:30 PM – 7:00 PM
Danbury City Hall, 155 Deer Hill Avenue
Room 3C - 3rd floor conference room
The City of Danbury, through the Danbury Cultural Commission, is exploring the creation of a state‑designated Cultural District, and community input is a critical part of this early planning process.
This Community Forum is an opportunity to:
- Learn what a Cultural District is and how the designation works in Connecticut
- Hear a preliminary overview of what a downtown Cultural District in Danbury could include
- Help identify cultural assets, places, events, and creative activity that matter to you
- Share feedback to help shape the vision and direction of an application to the State targeting early fall, if not sooner.
Danbury already has a rich cultural life; from art and performance programs and history and museum, to artists, local businesses, and community events. This forum is designed as a listening session and dialogue, not a final plan presentation.
Whether you’re an artist, business owner, educator, resident, or someone who simply cares about Danbury’s future, your perspective is welcome and encouraged.
Registration is required. Space is limited.
Light refreshments will be provided.
