About this Event
Ever wondered what there is to do at your local forest preserve? Join your community in learning about Dan Ryan Woods in a variety of activities, including:
🌿 Calming nature walks to learn about the plants, animals, and history of the site
🎨 Tie-dye using natural materials from plants (all materials provided)
🌠Free food and drinks throughout the event
🌲 A brush cutting demonstration and practice session to teach you the skills to remove invasive tree and shrub species
🎵 Music throughout the event
📣 An information table to learn about free programs, volunteer opportunities, and other offerings from both Friends of the Forest Preserves and Forest Preserves of Cook County
