About this Event
Dalloway at 6BC Botanical Garden
Join us for a magical afternoon at 6BC Botanical Garden for a site-specific workshop presentation of Dalloway, a new play written by Lindsay Joelle and directed by Olivia Facini. Inspired by Virginia Woolf's Mrs. Dalloway, this new play will bring the pages of this iconic novel to life while immersing you in the beauty of the garden.
Bring a chair or a blanket if you'd like (there are also benches scattered around the garden), and get ready to experience a memorable afternoon of theater that will make you laugh and warm your heart. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to experience literature, theater, and this lovely community garden in a whole new way. We're excited to see you there!
Synoposis
Dalloway (full-length play) is a feminist, queer-positive, pop-period prequel to Virginia Woolf’s celebrated Mrs. Dalloway in which a Victorian teen auditions a slew of suitors to save her family from financial ruin, while an unexpected romance with a socialite suffragette dares her heart to forge a brave new path.
