Months after high school, Dallas enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he picked up his first guitar at age 20. Music wasn’t ever part of “the plan” — until a small bar about 25 miles outside his duty station in New Jersey offered him his very first paid gig.
Freshly out of the USMC, Dallas met Keegan Knox at a bar just outside their hometown of Abilene, Kansas. Only weeks later, the duo set out to play together — and what started as two guys chasing songs quickly became The Lazy Wayne Band. From the first lineup to the first original release, Dallas has turned this “music thing” into his livelihood.
Completely independent, Lazy Wayne Band has released the full About Damn Time collection, delivering original music to streaming platforms everywhere — and onto radio waves across the Texas Country and Red Dirt scenes.
