Daffodil Dash Returns to Cass Park on April 25Online Registration Open for Benefit Walk, Run, Stroll
Registration is open for the fourth annual Daffodil Dash on Saturday, April 25 at Cass Park. Visit raceroster.com/events/2026/113673/daffodil-dash for more details and the online signup page.
The Ithaca Garden Club and the Ithaca Children’s Garden invite the community to run, walk, or stroll along the paved course while enjoying 180,000 blooming daffodils they have planted with the proceeds of past events. Last year’s event helped fund the planting of 70,000 bulbs at Cayuga Medical Center. This year’s Daffodil Dash will fund daffodils at Stewart Park.
These plants were purchased with funding from donors and dash participants, and planted with the help of the City of Ithaca Parks Department, the Ithaca Garden Club, and the Ithaca Beautification Brigade, along with Cornell University's bulb planting equipment.
Kids 12 and under have free registration, and the option to purchase a $5 event t-shirt. Registration for all others is $25, with optional $10 event t-shirts available. Registration will close on April 10 or when maximum capacity for participation is met. In 2025, it was reached before April.
Since 1922, the Ithaca Garden Club (IGC) has been enriching its members with fellowship and programs in horticulture, floral design and a variety of general interest topics by experts from near and far. Fundraising events by the Club have enabled numerous Ithaca community beautification projects such as the “Garden Trail” plantings of trees on Arbor Day and along Crabapple Grove; forsythia shrubs, mass plantings of daffodil and other flower bulbs; and numerous complete gardens including the Stewart Park Memorial Flagpole. New members are welcome. Learn more https://www.ithacagardenclub.org/
Ithaca Children’s Garden (ICG) is an award-winning, 3-acre public non-profit children’s garden that is designed for children, but is enjoyed by all. ICG operates with a mission to inspire, promote, and sustain youth and community stewardship of the natural environment through garden-based learning and discovery. Established in 1999, the Garden is completely free and open from sunrise to sunset every day of the year, and is wheelchair accessible. Learn more https://www.ithacachildrensgarden.org/
