Kick off the festive season in style with a delicious three-course lunch in the stunning coastal gardens of historic Dacre Cottage – Auckland’s second-oldest building. Gather your friends and family for a special day in a truly unique setting, all while supporting the ongoing protection and care of this iconic spot. Everyone is welcome!
This event is proudly supported by Canoe & Kayak, who contribute $1,000 towards the lunch ingredients. Every dollar raised goes directly to the Dacre Cottage Committee to help maintain the cottage, outbuildings, and grounds, restore the Karepiro Beach Forest, and protect the Long Bay Okura Marine Reserve and its waterways.
Getting There
🚶 On Foot: The easiest option – enjoy a beautiful 15–20 minute bush walk from the carpark at Ara Weiti Road, off East Coast Road.
🛶 By Kayak or Boat: Anchor off the beach (high tide 3:35pm). If landing a kayak, please avoid roped-off nesting areas for our rare seabirds.
