About this Event
Dabke and Discussion: An afternoon of Culture, Solidarity, and Connection
Join us on Sunday, October 13, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bay Ridge's Our Savior Lutheran Church for an afternoon of community, dialogue, and cultural celebration. Organized by Social Workers for Justice in Palestine, this event will feature keynote speakers from Indigenous and Palestine solidarity groups, offering insights into how social and mental health workers can contribute to movements for justice. Participants will engage in breakout discussions centered on solidarity, mobilization, and art.
The night will culminate with a Dabke workshop led by El Fanoun, where attendees will learn this traditional Palestinian dance and explore its significance. Proceeds from t-shirt and poster sales will go toward supporting El Fanoun's efforts.
Don’t miss this opportunity to connect, express, and stand in solidarity through culture and conversation!
