Join us for a free celebration of Día de los Niños/Día de los Libros (Children's Day/Book Day) on the West Lawn at the Library! Enjoy music, face painting, sidewalk chalk, a pizza snack, and a free book for every child (from toddlers to teens!) We are excited that our featured performance will be the MCSD Miller Mariachi Band, from 4:15-4:45.
We are also encouraging heritage clothing or any (child-friendly) costume of choice for those who would enjoy dressing up. Bring a blanket to sit on the West Lawn---or lawn chairs are welcome to the side or back of the crowd, as well.
We appreciate our community partners who are making Día possible this year: Al Exito, Somos Emerson, Friends of the Library, and many volunteers!
The Marshalltown Public Library is proud of our history as the first library in Iowa to host Día de los Niños/Día de los Libros.
