• Beginning with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 3:30 PM, this event will mark an exciting milestone in our community’s transportation infrastructure, celebrating the completion of another successful city planning project. In recognition of Florida Bike Month, join us during this “Bike From Work” ride alongside Sarasota County and City of Sarasota planning staff. This fully guided ride is open to all experience levels, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and supported along the route. Participants must be 18 years or older to join the guided bike ride.

What to Expect

• Guided bicycle ROUND TRIP group ride with 3 planned stops along route where city and county planners will be overviewing local infrastructure project briefings at key locations
• The ride will be an 8-mile roundtrip, with an optional 5-mile roundtrip turnaround option for those who prefer a shorter distance.
• Ribbon cutting celebration prior to the bike ride celebrating the opening of a new bicycle connectivity path 27°19'49.30"N 82°31'44.68"W
• Networking with local city/county planners and transportation partners

This ride highlights how bicycle infrastructure connects communities, supports workforce transportation needs, and advances coordinated planning between City and County partners all while celebrating Florida Bike Month.

• This event is pending approval for Certification Maintenance (CM) credits for AICP members. This applies to certified planners.
