Dr. Imtiaz Khan is a Reader in Data Science with a mission to increase the veracity and value of big data. He has a PhD in Bioinformatics from Cardiff University and joined Cardiff Met's School of Technologies in 2016 following a Marie Curie post-doctoral fellowship from the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT, USA. He currently leads Cardiff Met’s Centre for Industry 4.0 and Blockchain Research which conducts a wide range of AI and Web 3.0 technologies (blockchain, digital twin etc.) related research and development projects.

Imtiaz was recently awarded the Wales Technology Award (Best Blockchain Application category) and the Longitude Prize on Dementia. He led several industrial projects with companies like the Airbus and Government organisations such as Companies House and the National Health Service. He is also a steering committee member of the Wales Digital Twin Network and Blockchain Connected Council, Wales. Imtiaz is editorial board member of several international journals like Blockchain for Healthcare Today, Frontiers in Blockchain, Springer Nature Humanities and Social Sciences.

These sessions are open to Cardiff Met staff, researchers and businesses looking to explore collaboration opportunities.

Each of these sessions will have the option to attend in person or online with an opportunity for networking on arrival followed by a 20 minute talk and a 40 minutes Q&A, giving you the chance to discuss your research challenges and investigate what projects you could collaborate on.

These sessions are open to Cardiff Met staff, researchers and businesses looking to explore collaboration opportunities.

Mae Dr. Imtiaz Khan yn Ddarllenydd mew Gwyddor Data gyda chenhadaeth i gynyddu cywirdeb a gwerth data mawr. Arweiniodd nifer o brosiectau diwydiannol gyda chwmnïau fel yr Airbus, sefydliadau'r Llywodraeth fel Tŷ'r Cwmnïau a Gwasanaethau Iechyd Gwladol. Mae hefyd yn aelod o bwyllgor llywio Rhwydwaith Gefeilliaid Digidol Cymru a Chyngor Blockchain Connected, Cymru. Mae'n aelod o fwrdd golygyddol sawl cyfnodolyn rhyngwladol fel Blockchain for Healthcare Today, Frontiers in Blockchain, Springer Nature Humanities a Social Sciences.

Bydd gan y sesiynau opsiwn i fynychu wyneb yn wyneb neu ar-lein. Bydd y sesiynau’n dechrau gyda cyfle i rwydweithio, sgwrs 20 munud gyda sesiwn holi ac ateb 40 munud i ddilyn. Bydd yn rhoi’r cyfle i chi drafod eich heriau ymchwil ac ymchwilio i ba brosiectau y gallech gydweithio arnynt.
