Cyanotype Sun Printing
Venue: Future Front, Austin TX
Date: August 24, 2025 at 11am-1pm.
Price: $25 includes high quality professional printmaking paper and natural fabrics prepared with light-sensitive cyanotype solution, instructions and additional materials.
A FEW DISCOUNTED TICKETS HAVE BEEN SET ASIDE FOR PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS!
Relax and express yourself with the analog non-silver photographic process of cyanotype printing—each participant will receive materials to make a total of 4 cyanotype prints and hands-on guidance from artist Allison Lash (she/her), she will walk you through techniques with examples to spark inspiration.
All experience levels are welcome!
Cyanotype Sun Printing is part of Awesome Art!'s Analog Adventures community club series with Future Front and offers hands-on, creative artmaking experiences that are free of digital distractions. Centered around authentic visual arts practices, the club provides access to a variety of art materials where artist and facilitator Allison Lash (she/her) shares techniques while encouraging participants to explore, develop, and nurture their creative voices in a supportive and inspiring environment.
Club dates:
7/20/25 from 10am - 1pm BLOCK PRINTING (bring a t-shirt or tote to print on)
8/10/25 from 12 - 2pm PLAY WITH CLAY (will be glazed by you and fired to be functional)
8/24/25 from 11am -1pm CYANOTYPE PRINTING (non-silver analog photo process)
9/7/25 from 12 - 2pm TO BE DETERMINED
