Join the Commonwealth War Graves Commission for a tour of Basingstoke (Worting Road) Cemetery, led by one of our experienced volunteer tour guides.

Join us and hear about the work of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and stories of some of the men and women that are commemorated in this cemetery.
There are 28 graves from the First World War, 19 of which belong to the Canadian Forces due to the 4th Canadian General Hospital being based in Basingstoke from 1917-1919. There are 44 burials from the Second World War, which include 18 German graves.
The tours last approx. 60 mins and covers about 300 metres on grass with uneven ground. There is wheelchair access.
Limited parking available along the road in the cemetery, or nearby at Morrisons Supermarket RG21 8BJ (charges may apply), approx 4 min walk. There are on site facilities and toilets available. Please bring water if required.
Please dress for the weather and wear suitable footwear.
Only assistance dogs are allowed on site.
Please note there can be last minute cancellations. This can be due to various reasons including illness, site issues and weather. We will email you as soon as we can but this could include the morning of the tour, so please check your emails prior to leaving for the tour.
