The CWGC tour will visit the graves of two local men who took part in the famous Royal Naval raid on Zeebrugge in 1918, both men died of wounds and were included in the ballot for a Victoria Cross, which will be explained during the tour. Another WW1 soldier of the local regiment, the Sherwood Foresters died of wounds incurred during the 1916 Dublin Easter insurrections. Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear suitable footwear.
Only assistance dogs are allowed in the cemetery.
Please note there can be last minute cancellations. This can be due to various reasons including illness, site issues and weather. We will email you as soon as we can, but this could include the morning of the tour, so please check your emails prior to leaving for the tour.
