MEETING POINT at the CWGC plot in the middle of the cemetery.
The 1914-1918 burials are scattered in the cemetery.
Come and hear some amazing stories. Find out the terible story of E13. Brave commandoes. Escape artist (this will put the Great escape into proportion). As with all war grave stories there is a sense of bad luck and unfairness to the brave person commemorated. There is also one WAAF Lady buried here so come and find out about her story.
The tour lasts approx 90 mins and covers about 2000 metres on paths and grass with uneven ground. There is wheelchair access.
Parking is available nearby. There are no facilities or toilets on site at the weekends. Please bring water if required.
Please dress for the weather and wear suitable footwear.
Only assistance dogs allowed in the cemetery.
Please note there can be last minute cancellations. This can be due to various reasons including illness, site issues and weather. We will email you as soon as we can, but this could include the morning of the tour, so please check your emails prior to leaving for the tour.
The Commonwealth War Graves Foundation (CWGF) aims to actively engage all communities with the work of the CWGC by telling the inspiring stories through education and outreach projects.
The CWGF is an independent charity registered with the Charity Commission of England and Wales (1171947) and Scotland (SC051982).
