This tour explores the origins and history of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission while remembering the Second World War servicemen and women commemorated within Hastings Cemetery. 76 casualties are commemorated here, 69 from the United Kingdom and 7 from Germany.
We also turn our focus to the home front, remembering the 154 civilians killed during the enemy bombing of the Hastings area from 1940 to 1944.
The tour lasts approx. 90 mins and covers about 2000 metres on paths and grass on uneven ground with slopes. Wheelchair access would be difficult.
Parking is available on-site. There are on-site facilities and toilets available put please bring water if required.
Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear suitable footwear.
Only assistance dogs are allowed in the cemetery.
