MEETING POINT is at the Cross of Sacrifice.
The 1914-1918 War burials are scattered over all parts of the cemetery and 1939-1945 War graves are in several special groups. A War Cross is erected in the Old Ground, near the main entrance.
There are now nearly 90, 1914-1918 and nearly 120, 1939-1945 Commonwealth War casualties commemorated in this site.
The tour lasts approx 90 mins and covers about 750 metres on paths and grass with uneven ground. There is wheelchair access.
Parking is available on-site and nearby. There are facilities and toilets available on site but please bring water if required.
Please dress for the weather and wear suitable footwear.
Well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome in the cemetery.
Please note there can be last minute cancellations. This can be due to various reasons including illness, site issues and weather. We will email you as soon as we can, but this could include the morning of the tour, so please check your emails prior to leaving for the tour.
The Commonwealth War Graves Foundation (CWGF) aims to actively engage all communities with the work of the CWGC by telling the inspiring stories through education and outreach projects.
