CWGC Volunteering Days at Gillingham (Woodlands) Cemetery

The Commonwealth War Graves Commission is looking for volunteers to support our operations teams at Gillingham (Woodlands) Cemetery.
About this Event

The Commonwealth War Graves Commission is looking for volunteers to support our horticulture teams with the maintenance of CWGC formal planted borders – such as weeding, at Gillingham (Woodlands) Cemetery where we care for over 1100 war graves.

Dates: Thursday 26th March and Wednesday 22nd April

The day will take place between 10:00am - 3pm, with an optional tour of the site in the afternoon.

The activities of the day will include assisting with the maintenace of our war graves plots. Activity details will be confirmed closer to the time, and no experience is necessary as all relevant training will be delivered on the day. It will also be a fantastic opportunity to get involved, meet CWGC staff, and learn more about our work across the UK.

Parking and toilet facilities are available on site.
