About this Event
The Commonwealth War Graves Commission is looking for volunteers to support our operations teams at Cambridge City Cemetery, where we care for over 1000 war graves of the First and Second World War.
Dates: Thursday 23rd April and Wednesday 10th June
The volunteering day will take place between 10:00am - 3pm, with a break for lunch at midday.
The activities of the day will be supporting our horticulture teams with the maintenance of CWGC formal planted borders, which could inlude mulching, weeding and clearing leaves. Specific details of the activities for the dat will be sent to attendees closer to the time. No experience is necessary, and all relevant training will be delivered on the day
It will be a fantastic opportunity to get involved with our work, meet CWGC staff, and learn more about our work across the United Kingdom.
Parking and toilet facilities are available on site.
If you are interested in gardening, or military history - this is a fantastic opportunity to get involved and meet likeminded people. We look forward to welcoming you to Cambridge City Cemetery!
