Join the Commonwealth War Graves Commission for a tour of Beverley (Queensgate) Cemetery, led by one of our experienced volunteer tour guides.

MEETING POINT is at the Chapel buildings in the cemetery.
Queensgate cemetery has been in operation from about 1919 and contains 28 Commonwealth War Graves. Two from WW1, twenty-five from WW2, including 1 non-war grave. The tour will explore the lives of some of the casualties interned on the site, with stories of the servicemen who paid the ultimate price for their country, from Battle of Britain pilots, bomber crews to merchant seaman and Home Guard.
The tours lasts approx. 90 mins and covers about 400 metres on paths and grass with uneven ground. There is wheelchair access.
Parking is available nearby, disabled parking available within the cemetery. There are on-site facilities and toilets.
Please dress for the weather and wear suitable footwear.
Only assistance dogs are allowed in the cemetery.
Please note there can be last minute cancellations. This can be due to various reasons including illness, site issues and weather. We will email you as soon as we can, but this could include the morning of the tour, so please check your emails prior to leaving for the tour.
