MEETING POINT is at the Polish plot at the main entrance to the cemetery off Jeanfield Road.

The Black Watch regiment can trace it’s history back 300 years, when six companies were formed across the highlands of Scotland to prevent fighting between the clans and assist in enforcing the law. The traditional recruiting areas for the Black Watch are: Fife, Dundee, Angus and Perthshire and 45 members of the regiment are commemorated in Jeanfield and Wellshill Cemetery in Perth.

This years cemetery tour will focus particularly on members of the Black Watch who are commemorated in the cemetery, as well as sharing a few stories of other servicemen and servicewomen who lost their lives in WW1 and WW2.

The aim of our tours is to pay tribute to members of the British and Commonwealth forces who lost their lives in conflict. The CWGC also care for casualties of other nations who are buried in the UK and we will begin our tour at the Polish plot where 354 members of the Polish forces are buried.

The tours lasts approx. 90 mins and covers about 800 metres on paths and grass with uneven ground and slopes.

There's limited parking available nearby and on site. There are no facilities or toilets on site. Please bring water if required.

Well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome.

Please come dressed for the weather and wear suitable footwear.

Please note there can be last minute cancellations. This can be due to various reasons including illness, site issues and weather. We will email you as soon as we can, but this could include the morning of the tour, so please check your emails prior to leaving for the tour.

The Commonwealth War Graves Foundation (CWGF) aims to actively engage all communities with the work of the CWGC by telling the inspiring stories through education and outreach projects.

The CWGF is an independent charity registered with the Charity Commission of England and Wales (1171947) and Scotland (SC051982).
