Charlottesville Women’s Choir's Annual Spring Benefit Concert will be held on Sunday, May 31, at 4:30pm at Pantops Community Church, 1525 Stony Point Road, Charlottesville, 22911. This year’s concert will provide multicultural music to promote peace, justice and equality in support of our immigrant neighbors. The beneficiary of this concert will be Sin Barreras, a Charlottesville non-profit founded in 2012 to help address the barriers Hispanic (or Spanish speaking) immigrants face in accessing essential services.
“We appreciate Sin Barreras (Without Barriers) being chosen as the beneficiary for the annual Charlottesville Women's Choir concert!” stated Javier Raudales, Sin Barreras Executive Director. “We would not be able to succeed in improving access to services, celebrating diversity and creating a brighter, more connected community without support from our neighbors," he continued.
Suggested Donations of $5-$15 for adults, $4 for children 5-12 years old will be appreciated. Children under 5 years old may attend for free.
The Charlottesville Women’s Choir (CWC) sings primarily a cappella songs with themes of peace, social justice, and environmental awareness. CWC started in 1984 and continues its tradition of an annual spring benefit concert.
