The Cville Pie Fest team and WTJU 91.1 FM are pleased to announce the return of the Charlottesville Pie Festival! Saturday, October 19, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. After last year's success, we are moving to a bigger venue: the Jefferson School African American Heritage Center, 233 4th Street NW.Anyone who bakes pie can submit their best entires to the Pie Festival. Pies will be judged on flavor, presentation, crust, and originality/traditionality. Prizes will be awarded to winning pies. Bakers should register their pie(s) by October 14 at cvillepiefest.com.
During the festival, pie tasting and judging will take place 10 a.m - 1 p.m. followed by live music by soul beat singer-songwriter Nathaniel Star 1 - 2 p.m. This is a fundraiser event for WTJU and JSAAHC. Attendance is free, but pie tastings cost $10 for three pie samples.
Think your pie has what it takes to win? Please register your pie before October 14th, 2024 if you want to enter the 2024 Pie Fest. You may enter as many pies as you want.
