Comedian Shann Carr and The Center are thrilled to bring you the CV Lip Sync Battle Sat, Sept. 6th at 6:00 PM in the big theatre at the Palm Springs Cultural Center. Get ready for a night of wild performances.
This isn’t your grandma’s talent show (unless your grandma can lip sync to Beyoncé—then, by all means, bring her). This year, nine teams from some of the valley’s most beloved organizations will battle for $1,000, bragging rights, and a year’s supply of local glory.
Who's bringing the heat? The 2025 lineup includes teams from:
American Cancer Society (because laughter is the best medicine)
Animal Samaritans (expect some paws-itively wild moves)
Cancer Support Community (bringing the support—and the sparkle)
Desert Business Association (networking, but with sequins)
Friends of the Desert Mountains (they’ll rock you like a landslide)
The L-FUND (lip syncing for a cause)
Palm Springs Parks and Recreation (they’ve got moves and maybe a whistle)
Safe House PS (safe, but not from the fierce competition)
"The Lip Sync Battle proves that even the ‘desk nerds” in Palm Springs have talent," says Shann Carr, co-producer.. "Where else can you see a business leader, the Parks Director, and a therapy dog handler become pop stars?"
As always, last year’s contestants return as judges and coaches, offering advice and maybe some side-eye. The costumes are wild, the competition is fierce, and the lip syncing will change how you hear music. Whether you’re cheering for your favorite team or just in it for the laughs, this is the can’t-miss event of the season. Come for the music, stay for the mayhem, and leave with a smile.
