In Mexican tradition, the cempasúchil (marigold) is known as the flower of the dead. Its bright orange and yellow petals are believed to guide spirits back to the world of the living with their vibrant color and distinctive scent.
In this hands-on workshop, participants will create their own paper marigolds using crepe and tissue paper while exploring the symbolism, mythology, and sacred role these flowers play in Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) rituals.
