About this Event
We are delighted to announce the next CURUFC Business Club event on the 26th of March.
This Business Club lunch will bring together members of the CURUFC network for an afternoon of networking, insight, and discussion. Tickets are £50, and include welcome drinks and a three-course meal.
We are especially pleased to welcome Ollie Phillips as our guest speaker. A former England Sevens captain, 2009 World Sevens Player of the Year, and (most importantly) a Cambridge Blue (2017) with an MBA from Queens’ College, Ollie recently completed the World’s Toughest Row—a 3,000-mile transatlantic crossing from La Gomera to Antigua. In just over 38 days, Ollie battled relentless physical demands to complete the challenge with his team, overcoming extreme weather conditions and sleep deprivation. The challenge tested resilience, leadership, and teamwork at the highest level.
Ollie and his team (Julian Evans, Tom Clowes and Stuart Kershaw) undertook the row to raise funds for a number of outstanding charities, including the Matt Hampson Foundation, Cure Parkinson’s, My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, and Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity, helping raise over £350,000 to date. His talk will explore lessons from elite sport, extreme endurance, and life beyond professional rugby, offering valuable perspective for both business and personal leadership.
Spaces are limited and early booking is recommended. We look forward to welcoming you to the next CURUFC Business Club event.
